When I moved in, I loved this place--the apartments are beautiful with lots of vintage charm, the grounds were maintained and the management was super friendly and laid back. In the past year, the property has changed owners and management companies. Norris and Stevens, the new management, has tacked on a $65 monthly utility fee despite the fact that we have no control over when the radiator heat is turned on and still have to pay a separate electric bill; they also recently raised rents by about 20%, with up to a $100 a month penalty if you don't sign the new six month leases. In the time I've been here, tenants were never given the option of signing a lease even if they wanted to, and now we're being punished if we don't. The new on-site manager is a bit over-zealous, the management company seems determined to squeeze every last penny out of the tenants, and there have been several appraisers / condo developers inspecting the place. I don't recommend wasting your money or your time moving in, as the management company seems to care very little about the residents and the building will probably be knocked down in six months to build a high rise anyway.

Amazing that they can get away with this crap. Not ok. Hope they get what they deserve!!!!
