Today's exciting unscheduled maintenance includes a visit from the gutter monkeys who are replacing rain gutters that fell off the buildings during our December snowstorms. Maintenance and landscaping activities are consistently performed at seemingly random intervals. Most apartment buildings would at least bother to send emails or put notes up to inform residents that THERE WILL BE LOUD BANGING ON THE ROOFS AND WALLS FOR 8 HOURS TODAY, but not Park Terrace! Such small courtesies could certainly not be given. I've had to remove a very expensive item from the wall just now, as it was banging around and seemed in danger of falling off the wall onto my antique end table. Thankfully I was home or they both could have been wrecked. I feel sorry for anyone who moves here and doesn't work a regular day shift, as this sort of thing happens all the time and the residents are never informed.

Good review. I've lived here for a long time now...it was once a great community. I'm trying desperately to get out of this place for many more reasons than cost. But for the total cost of a 1 bedroom here, I can rent a 2-3 bedroom elsewhere in town, even in some good neighborhoods near public transit. Now, it's just an old building sitting directly underneath some expensive stilt houses up on the side of the hill. It's not worth it, not even for the location. Not to mention, there is a fault line that runs just several blocks away. You do the math, stay away from this place if you're considering it.
