It's Not That Bad At All

My wife and I have lived here for a year now and we like it quite a bit. You need to keep something in mind, though. They are going condo now in one building, and another is soon to follow. The final building won't start for a while so there are still some opportunities to move in, at least for a 6 month lease.

Management has gotten LEAGUES better since we moved in. Problems are resolved when there are problems. Maintenance is quite good, at least in our experience. We haven't needed much except a hot water heater that was due for replacement and was replaced efficiently.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the building you would likely live in (the one we live in) overlooks the pool, which has a HUGE security problem with the spoiled rotten PSU students who come and swim in it late at night, usually drunk and sometimes nude. They are very rude and have no regard for others' property. There is security however and they are a phone call away, and the cops have a trespassing warrant on the pool and WILL arrest these idiots (and do). If you are moving in here, keep in mind that the west side of the building that faces the pool is very noisy so go for a higher apartment if you're moving to that side. You also can't get satellite TV on that side in the lower apartments, so keep that in mind too.

The location is terrific otherwise, and parking is nice. Plenty of spots for friends and family in the valet section. The gym is cool and has some decent equipment.

Overall we've been quite pleased with our time here, and are staying for another 6 months before we buy a house in SE or NE. You can probably get a killer deal right now since they are going condo soon, so it might be worth checking out. However I hear that there is a waiting list, so you might be assed out. ;-)
