After an incident occurring on RiverPlace property I tried to report it. First, no one was available, then I tried calling the 24 hour maintenance phone number and was on hold for over 1 1/2 hours and had to hang up without getting through; I then went on to their corporate web site and found a phone call for the NW corporate office who had no idea that RiverPlace was one of their properties and gave me the phone number for the Portland corporate office. I called this office and was passed along to a Regional Manager who was extremely rude, unprofessional and seemed to be annoyed because I was calling him with a problem. He raised his voice at me, cut me off and then rushed me off the phone. At this point I knew the only way to handle the problem was to report the issue to my car insurance company. I was then notified that RiverPlace is trying to fraudulently have my insurance company pay for damages to the property that wasn't done by my car. After speaking to another Regional Manager and stating what my insurance company told me I was basically brushed off. The upper management does not care about its residents or their concerns and are unwilling to help at all. During the bad snow and ice no paths were cleared on the sidewalks or the driveways, making it dangerous conditions for all residents and the public. RiverPlace does not take care of its property and does not care about the safety of its residents nor does it comply with the Landlord/Tenant Act which requires that a rental unit must be in good repair. This includes clean building and grounds and all other areas. And If living in a cold climate, ensure that walkways and parking areas are clear of snow. I have recently found out that personal property was stolen from the garage and there is a mice infestation. The only people who I have had contact with who are nice and helpful are Abel and Theresa in the leasing office but unfortunately they can only do so much when their management is not helpful. I am extremely disappointed and insulted with the service and treatment that I have received from this company and upset that I have signed a lease for 12 months.
