Apartment staff very friendly, fast, courteous, maintenance done same day in nearly all cases, grounds very well kept.
Lovely duck ponds.
Wish weight room was open until later than 10pm...swimming pool closed in Sept. A bit early, but not a big issue.
Moved in, apartments starting to show their age. 30 years old. Lots of little maintenance needs done. Bathtub hot and cold nearly impossible to turn...this problem exists in all apartments. No lights hooked up to the ceiling, must buy floor lamps for every room except bathroom and kitchen. Ceiling is covered in Asbestos, must sign form saying you won't touch the ceiling. Bathroom design is interesting, but if you want privacy on the potty or in the shower, you have to lock both doors locking out everyone out of the 2 available toilets. A simple lock on one of the doors would take care of this problem.
Baseboard heating is too long and gets too hot. Location of baseboard heating and location of plug-ins is very inconvenient. Absolutely no thought went into their placement.
Biggest Reasons to stay: Helpful staff/competitive prices/lovely grounds
Biggest Reasons to leave: Poor apartment design and excessively high water bill. All renters are charged the same amount per person. Even if you go on vacation for 2wks, you will still get charged about $16per person for water, sewer and garbage. For a family of 4, it gets expensive. Comparatively, it should only be $10 per person anywhere else.
