First the good; We moved here from out of state, w/o really seeing the place(except for the website), and the staff did an excellent job of accomodating our needs and making our transition smooth (mailing us the key, familiarizing us with the area, etc). They are all very helpful in the office and will do their best to answer your questions
The location is excellent. you're within walking distance of almost everything you'd need. except maybe a movie theatre, but within biking distance of that. and if u need the get anywhere the light rail is at ur doorstep and the freeway is a mile or 2 away. yet 90% of the complex is insulated from the hustle and bustle of this and is very quiet (unfortunately i live in that 10% ) ;-)
so far all the ppl i've met that live here are very friendly and responsible. its a large complex and there will always be bad eggs, but for the most part not
While I rated the construction as "nothing special" the design and layout of this place is awesome. the outside color schemes and landscaping are great, and space inside is very well utilized. everything feels very open and there is ample storage. I cannot hear my neighbours...
unfortunately, as i said earlier, the only complaint is thati get quite a bit of road noise. and its not constant, so its even more annoying. quiet then some really loud car will go by, and so on...
other bad thing is no a/c. dont know how its been in years past, but our fist summer in portland has been hot! thank God for portlable a/cs and fans.
if u have any specifc 's about the place, pls ask, but I definitely recommend it!!
