nice apartments

My husband and I moved into a 2 bedroom apartment on the top floor about 8 months ago now. So far, we've been very impressed.
The apartment layout is perfect, the bedrooms are both very large and their is perfect amount of storage space (we have a lot of stuff!) The walk in closet in the master bedroom is wonderful! We have never had any problems with mold/appliances/etc. Everything seems wonderful.
We don't deal much with the office staff very often, but so far everyone has been very helpful and organized and friendly. When we re-signed our lease they even gave us a deal on a garage, gave us 2 free travel mugs, and cleaned our carpets and put in new lights and ceiling fans in the bedrooms!
The pool is very nice and I love the lounge chairs. They have a hottub that my husband and I sat in a couple times this winter, and always we were the only ones in it! They also have a fitness room (though it is a bit small and its hours really make it so I can't really use it with my work schedule) and a movie 'theater' in their clubhouse, but we haven't utilized those things much as of yet...
Parking is the one downfall of these apartments. If you have 2 cars it is a nightmare. The parking spaces themselves are way too narrow. I have a tiny car and I feel cramped in them, don't know how the big trucks do it (somehow they manage to squeeze in them). Now that we are paying extra for the garage we have 2 spaces, it isn't so stressful. It is known that you should NOT park your car on the street...it will get broken into if you try! So if you didn't get home early enough to try and nab one of the two uncovered spaces near your apartment, you have to try and find another one in the complex, even if the street is much closer, and that can be very inconvienent coming home later in the evenings...
I've never had much problem with noise here either. We do live on top so that may be influencing that... Once a couple of younger girls moved in across from us. They were fairly noisy, well, more the people who came to visit them were noisy, but you could mostly only hear them when they were in the stairwell. They told us once that they had received a noise complaint....then a couple of weeks later my husband and I noticed they were gone. I don't know what happened, but it seemed like the staff was very good at taking care of complaints of noise...
Our apartment stayed very warm in the winter with minimal heating (think that some of the heat from below us might have risen up into our unit) and it is insulated pretty well. We are facing the afternoon sun now so it is kind of difficult to keep the apartment cool enough. But we bought those big outdoor shades to hang over our balcony and that has helped tremendously.
All in all, we really do love these apartments! We couldn't ask for much more!
