Not sure what I think

My lease is soon expiring and I do not know that to think. Sometimes So. Parc's management is ridiculous; other times, not so bad. Very inconsistent. Maintenance staff here are great, personable and always repair things on time. But the office staff makes me scratch my head. We tenants can no longer use the clubhouse. No reason given. Wonder who it's there for' We cannot plant flowers, well most of us can't but a few can! Recently mgmt told us via newsletter that children cannot ride bikes or skateboard through the parking lot. This is how it should be. However 2 nights ago while backing up from my parking space, I almost hit a boy on a bike who came flying through the lot, not looking where he was going. This is twice now in less than a month this has occured. That is not mgmt's fault, but seems to me they should notify tenants other than via a newsletter. Maybe a strongly worded notice posted to each door would get the attention of parents. Many tenants here do not have English as a first language, you have to wonder if they even read the newsletter. My neighbor just told me her rent went up $400 a month if she does not sign a new lease. If they even try that crap with me, I'm outta here. Otherwise, we'll just wait and see how it goes until my lease does expire. Oh and for the record when I moved in they told me I could do a 12 month lease or pay $50 more per month to go month-to-month. Sounds like they are not offering that at all any more.

Lived here?

I think that is so untrue. I have lived here for 3 years and don't plan on moving anytime soon. They have never come close to raising my rent $400. That is so rediculous. The reason they stopped offering to rent out the clubhouse, is because someone damaged it last time. Not a big deal! It is not the staff's problem that kids run around and ride their bikes crazily through the parking lot. I have personally recieved several notices about watching my child while they are outside playing. So instead of complaining online, through this site, why don't you do something about it and go outside and hold a sign and warn all the kids to be careful. Not everyone has all day to do nothing but complain!!

Hey, when I asked the current manager why they have stopped renting the clubhouse she gave me a different reason not that its damaged, she said we want to set up a system sort of a slide show, where in the future residents who come in to see the apartments can have a look at what they are offering. I was not told that its damaged. It is true that the manager has hiked up the rent to $375 when I have gone month to month, as she is not offering a 6 month or 12 month lease. Is there some place where we can raise a complain about this.
