I had a package from UPS delivered to the office & signed for by one of the leasing agents. I came to pick it up the next day and it mysteriously disappeared. The manager states that they are not responsible for packages left in the office, but actually my attorney and the Washington Co. police dept begs to differ. The leasing agent that signed for it states "I signed for it and then put it in the back and the next day it was gone", I had verified that only two people worked in the office that day him and the manager and both just don't know what happened to it. It just must of grew some legs and took off.

The seller of the package is contacting the Washington Co. police dept I Don't think the office staff understands this is a federal offense, when you sign for a package @ that point you take full responsibility for it.

Get your facts straight! If it was that important you should have considered putting a note on your door letting the delivery driver know not to leave it in the office. That's what I have done.People are human mistakes happen. GET OVER IT!!! What I mean by getting your facts straight is read your lease, I live here too it says flat out that we waive them responsible for LOST, STOLEN,damaged packages. READ BEFORE YOU VOICE YOUR OPINION. It's your own fault!!! Don't go blaming them cuz you can't read.

Does that being in the lease mean that it's ok for the staff to steal the packages? I know they can't be entirely responsible for damage but stealing is stealing. No comments in my lease (I live here too) make it ok in my book for them to steal my packages!

Stealing is going over board. It sounds like they may have misplaced it. ---- HAPPENS!
