Run away from this place!

My husband and I lived at these apartments for 3 years. When we first moved in, the management was great, very helpful, and responded quickly when needed. The neighbors were nice and friendly, and there was always a quiet atmosphere around us. Then the apartments were sold to a private company and that's when it went down hill. Illegals were moving in every weekend, letting their multiple children (ages 18 months to 18 years) run around in the parking lot unattended, breaking into peoples cars, vandalizing peoples cars, and being rude in every way possible. Their friends and family would drive thru the parking lot all hours of the day and night blaring their music with no regards to anyone else. When we complained to the management about this, they did nothing siteing that unless we knew their specific names and could prove they were doing it, there was nothing they could do. Drug dealers moved into the apartment accross the way, and even after they got evicted 6 months later, their drug seeking friends would still knock on their and our door for months afterward. This apartment remained empty for well over a year, and the back window was left open the entire time. Every month I'd let the managment know that they needed to go in and close it as the rain poured into the apartment, and every month they said "they'd get right on it." Needless to say, by the end of the winter, black mold had spread thruout that entire apartments dining room area and was heading into the kitchen and living room, and had spread into our apartment as well, making us quite sick if we spent too much time in that side of the apartment. (I'm sure to this day nothing has still been done about it)
The sink in the master bathroom sprung a leak one night in the middle of the night, flooding into the master bedroom and into the hallway. The manager came to the apartment, shut the water off for the night and it took them nearly 2 days to come to even look at it, and the next day when we were out of town for the day, we came home to find that one of the "maintence" men had come in, ripped the carpet up (ignoring the tack strip between the carpet and linolium in the bathroom)and shoved a commercial size fan underneath with a note saying to leave it running for at least 2 days. After multiple calls to the managers for the next 4 days, someone finally came back out to get it, but did not bother fixing the carpet when they did, leaving it exposed to shred apart over time of walking and vaccuming over it multiple times. When we finally moved out, they insisted that it was our declawed cat (who never stepped foot into the room), who did it, and kept our deposit and demanded another 200 dollars to replace the carpet.
Do not move into these apartments. You will have nothing but regret and a major headache if you do. Consider yourself warned!
