Great views, nice staff, but aging facilities.

During it's heyday, Sunset Summit Apartments provided cutting edge features with views 2nd to none. However, the units have not been properly maintained. While most appliances are new, cabinets and woodwork tend to be old. The decks are all being replaced, as they are outright scary. Haven't been touched in years.
While the views are incredible, the apartments tend to get really hot during the Spring, Summer and early Fall. They installed an ugly air conditioner with an electrical cord in the main wall of the living room to combat the heat. No chance! Even with two air conditioners running, the apartment was HOT.
On the positive side of things, the views are great, as are clubhouse facilities. The management couldn't be friendlier.
If you are looking for views, 24 hour facilities and an easy commute to downtown or the sunset corridor, you can not do any better than Sunset Summit. Otherwise, I would recommend going elsewhere.
One last note, the apartments are not well insulated between floors, I would recommend paying the extra couple of dollars to live on the top floor, despite the heat.
