Unfortunately I am stuck here for a while at least. The noise is deafening, the dust and mold and trash left by the construction crew is at the very least a health hazard. The "management" make you feel like you should feel lucky that they "allow" you to live here, deal with the mess and noise, as well as paying full rent. And here's another fun fact...they promised when they started this construction project that this was all for the resident's benefit and that no way would they be raising our rent, AGAIN...but that was a lie! We were told that everyone in the buildings where construction has been done or is being done now, as of December 1st will get a rent increase. In the 2 1/2 years we've been here, our rent has now officially gone up $250 a month total.
As for the "boy" in the office...he is mean spirited, has to be pushed to do the smallest thing for the residents, and has personally harassed me as well. No, I'm not the person who has the restraining order against him...wished I'd known about that before now as I wondered if I was the only person he'd been horrible to. And there are many other residents who have complained about him...and I will be sending all the ones I know this website so that they can all add their thoughts, feelings and opinions about having to live in only the middle of all your rooms for 2 months!
I personally haven't had any food stolen from my place, although I haven't looked before now, but I will. But they have used our electricity, blew some fuses in the process, and then just left us to figure out why, when we get home and it's dark that we have no power! And that brings up another point...we were all told that we would be getting new, brighter lights by our doors. While they are new, and pretty, the lighting is a lot lower, and the light only illuminates 1 door on each landing...if you live in the "other" apartment on that landing, you have to stand between the light and your door to put your key in the lock, and if you look out your peephole, you can't see who's there because they are blocking the light. There's also no light on the stairs, and now that it's daylight savings crap again, the outside lights don't come on until it's been dark for several hours and you have to hope that you don't trip and fall down the rickety stairs. And they decided to take off the metal hand rails and just leave the large raw wood 2x4's as the railing...I'm tired of having to pick splinters out of my hand everyday just because I need to hold a handrail while walking in the dark up and down the stairs! Oh, and thanks for taking away the flimsy awnings over our outside stairwells...now that it's raining it's so lovely to get even more drenched trying to get our key in the lock that we can't see because of the "new light" you've given us! What were you thinking'''
And as for pets, the management's response was to just put them in a kennel for 2 months while your building is being demolished...really pet friendly people, don't you think'
And I will be moving as soon as possible...this is completely ridiculous!
FYI, management...you should have seriously given people the option to move rather then play down the horror of living here during construction...if you'd thought about your residents, there wouldn't be so many complaints now.

If you have an issue with someone in the office, i suggest you take it up with them rather than slander people you don't know behind their back. If you are not happy, it is your choice to move.

Not to point out the OBVIOUS "little man", but I don't think they're complaining about you "behind your back". These people simply think you are at the very least unqualified to do this job. Results speak for themselves, don't you think?

Anonymous is always positive. You have to be one of the office workers. This play is a dump. Expecting tenants to allow you to "wander" in the apartment anytime Mon-Fri is excessive and against the law. Workers bring in mud and crap on their shoes, there is dust everwhere, and they make a "career" out of touch-ups. I bet they have a hard time renting apartments.

Of course he is always positive....this is that same daddy's "not-so-wonder" boy thinking that everything is about him. Never addresses the problems that these people are bringing up...his solution is to ignore it or make people unhappy enough to move, so nothing has to change. Absolutely brilliant marketing strategy, hope daddy is proud. Then again, he probably stuck the kid at Sunset Summit because he knows he isn't capable of doing anything else, he'd end up living off them and they'd never get rid of him. So we get stuck with the dregs of apartment management. Just once, I'd like to hear him address the actual problems that people are complaining about......can he read these big words that we use? Maybe we need to dumb it down more.

Oh my gosh! We are living in Sunset Summit and have had the worst time with the guy who works in the front office. He leased us our apartment and lied about the construction and everything else!!! we wish we new this before we moved in. It's not worth the rent! Now that I'm reading this I'm filing a complaint!
