Great apartments, superb management

Title says it all. This is really a great location and a very good value. The neighborhood has improved noticeably, even in the year I lived there. The apartments are located one block from beautiful Cathedral Park, and there's a bunch of great places to eat, drink, see a movie (or all three at once) within a very short walking distance. William was easily the most responsive and pleasant apartment manager I have ever dealt with. Had I not decided to go car free, necessitating my living closer in, I would definitely still be living there.

A couple not-so-hot things: When the apartments reach full occupancy, parking is scarce after 10pm or so. Plenty of parking available on the street though. If you don't come home late, this is won't be a problem for you. The other thing is noise. This apartment building sits between a police station and a firehouse. While I enjoyed the security of knowing help was a mere half block away, I did not enjoy the nightly reminder via police cruiser speed-trials over the bridge. Honestly though, I got used to it after a while so I wouldn't call it a deal breaker. Lastly, I lived above a total nutcase that decided to turn his studio apartment into a recording studio. When he wasn't busting out the tunes, he was ranting maniacally at all hours. I think he's a holdout from the transition of ownership, so he might not even be there now. But if he is, and there's a vacancy, you have about a 1/36 chance of being driven completely mad by this burnout. Even with all that said, this was a great place to live, and I really do miss the neighborhood.
