Worst Place ever!

I have lived in numerous apartments throughout my life and this is honestly the only place I would not recommend to my worst enemy. The office staff are stuffy, rude and most of accusational. The maintenance of the place is horrible. The hallways and entrance ways to the apartments were cleaned and vaccummed once in the 6 months that I lived there. The walls to the apartments are paper thin and most people that live there are white trash or stuffy as well. I got a noice violation for having sex with my boyfriend and further more the cops were called for me being hysterical on the phone when my grandfather died. When I explained this to chelsea in the office she was not willing to listen and was very accusational. When I say accusational this is exactly what I mean: she accused me of having numerous noice violations and arguments in my apartment, accused me of having my boyfriend living with me without having him on the lease, and that there was numerous noice violations against me previously but without any notice to me. The staff in the office is noticeable unintelligent and uneducated with no communication skills or personable skills. If I were the manager I would re-evaluate the staffing of the place along with the maintenance and cleanliness of the inside of the hallways of the buildings.

I totally agree as well. The office managers are just very unpleasant, ridiculous people. Must be unhappy with their lives, its always a battle to talk to them. They don't work for the tenants needs at all. The complex draws you in with a pretty facade; the pool, gym, etc...but after you live there you realize all that stuff is useless! The pool is waaay to chemical filled to swim in comfortably, the gym is always dirty, stuffy, and down right useless to try and exercise in...but the punch line is they charge you an additional $26 per month in addition to your rent for these things...and you never end up using them!! There is also zero privacy!!! Seriously, I can't even listen to music or watch TV at a normal decibel nor can my neighbors. Nevermind trying to have people over altogether and god forbid you ever get loud or have a fight with your girlfriend or boyfriend while you're there cus the whole building will hear you, how embarrassing! Another thing...all of October expect to have a beetle infestation outside the west side of the complex, so you cant go out to your porch. Seriously! It was DISGUSTING for 4 weeks and all you get from the office is "you'll have to wait it out." This place is overpriced, overrated, poorly serviced, and down right not livable. If you make it through the endless paperwork to get in, so they can stick it to you when you discover you cant take it anymore, think again and do yourself a favor..DONT LIVE HERE!

I am a happy resident at the Commons and I believe that a lot of people that write negative comments on this site are from people that aren't used to apartment living and over exaggerate a lot of their complaints. You don't pay $26 for the gym and stuff. It's just for the sewer. If you don't use the extras then that's your fault. And the beetles are in this area every year around the fall time and they are here for a few weeks and then leave. They sit on the side of the building where the sun shines the most. I see them every year for the past 3 years. I have never had a problem with the office staff. If someones being difficult with them don't you think they are going to take a different tone. If you're someone that is unpleasent and short with them what kind of treatment do you expect to get back. They are people too. Buy a house if you can't stand apartment living. honestly do you have anything better to do than to write complaints on the internet.

In response to the 12/19/07 this response is from an office staff member. To you staff members who decide to post in response to residents posting you must remember that you will not have a job if you don't have residents living there. Which for the whole time that I have lived here the place has never been full. So to the comment about "go buy a house" and "find something better to do than post things on the internet" ummm...what are you doing? a little hypocritical don't you think? And go buy a house...well ok, but have fun finding another job. I completely agree with the original posting regarding Chelsea who works in the office. Maybe because she was pregnant she thought she could be down right awful and bitchy but that is no excuse. She needs a professional tune up and a not so judgemental demeanor when speaking to other people. She is a person who stares you up and down is down right judgemental the second you talk to her or walk through the front door. I hope management really evaluates there staff as said in the original management.
