I signed up for a 12 month lease at the sylvan highlands and my experience has been horrible. All of my neighbors are rude and the management is horrible. Parking is constantly unavailable maintenance never comes and you cant even talk on your balcony pass 9:00 pm without a noise complaint. I don't recommend this complex too anyone.

Absolutely correct about the noise issue! I had the rudest lady knock at my door at 8:15pm to complain about noise. I had my family over to celebrate my birthday 3 adults and 2 kids. We were all watching "Transformers the movie" and she came to my door complaining that the noise was too loud, she was a student (which means nothing to me, we all went to school, deal with it.), she wanted to tell me that in apartments noise travels and obviously I had never lived in an apartment before, according to her I was noisy all the time. WTF? I asked my neighbors on either side of me immediately if they were hearing noise from my apartment and neither of them had ever heard a peep. In fact, that was the first time I had anyone come to my apartment. Noisy all the time huh? I work 9 to 5 pm and usually watch television and go to bed. People here are very rude and stuck up, i'm not sure what planet they come from. If my presumtious neighbor above me who's anorexically skinny and wears the ugly black glasses happens to read this, I HATE YOU!

I've lived here for 4 years. Yes, it can be a bit noisy, especially late on warm summer evenings. People coming back from a night on the town do need to respect their neighbors and not scream at each other at 3am in the morning. That rarely happens though, and frankly, I find it an amusing component of apartment living. It's AN APARTMENT COMPLEX and a little bit of noise is to be expected. In fact, my neighbors will warn me in advance if they are having company to let me know it might be noisier than usual! The people in my building are extremely nice, I rarely see my neighbors, and when I do they are pleasant & friendly & helpful. Not rude or stuck up at all! This isn't a dorm people - you don't have to be best friends with everyone!
Again, regarding the parking issue - THERE IS A BRAND NEW LOT that IS NEVER FULL. Stop whining people and start taking advantage of it. So you have to walk an extra block or so? Take into consideration where you are living - if you want abundant parking buy a house or move out to the suburbs.
I only wish that management was MORE STRICT and would tow more cars that 1)take up two spaces 2)park on the fire lines.
