Poorly Managed

I have been living at Village at Lovejoy for 18 months. All things considered, it was a decent place to live for the first 9-10 months. Since then, the quality of service has declined significantly.
Poor maintenance of water pipes results in frequent fire alarms at 3:00 AM (expect an average of 2 alarms per month.) Elevators are frequently out of service as well. Both elevators on the north side of the fountain building were out of service for the entire month of May.
The staff, while once warm and considerate, have been replaced with less personable people who could care less about the problems the complex has been experiencing.
Although the complex advertises "free guest parking," I would recommend your friends take a bus to come visit. The free guest parking means parking in a vacant spot on the street (rare) and then moving your car before 7:00 AM. Otherwise, you will be towed.
While prices continue to increase as service and convenience continue to degrade, I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere. The quality of life at VLF is just not what you would expect for the high rent they demand. I do not expect to renew my lease for another term.
