Not worth it at all

There are noisy children everywhere who run up and down the stairs of the buildings all day long and no one does anything about it. The maintenance crew is not prompt, it usually took a couple of calls to get anything done. The oven never seemed to work correctly and took forever to pre-heat. There is a huge mold problem there as well.

The cabinets in the kitchen are arranged in a very inefficient way. Most of the cabinet space is hard to access. The dishwasher randomly overflowed one day, filling my kitchen floor with soap suds. And no, there was no liquid dish soap on anything in that load. One of the bathrooms developed the most disgusting smell 2 months into our stay and never went away for the remainder of the lease. The drains in our tubs were clogged the day we moved in, each taking quite a lot of Drain-o to unclog. The lint from the people's dryers flows freely along the outside stairs and don't even bother asking the staff to get someone to come clean up a sticky spill or vomit along a walk path.

If for some reason you do decide to move in, pay your rent with money orders only. One month they cashed our rent check twice. I don't know how they were able to do that in the first place... but it happened. Our bank even told us that we were not the only one. Apparently it happened to a lot of people that month.

The cops were there very frequently. This could be related to the gangs and the graffiti that appeared a couple of times. After expressing our desire to move, a friend told us they used to live in the complex at one time as well and that they had found a crack pipe laying on the ground.

There is a weight limit of 35 lbs for dogs and breed restrictions. Except that I saw my fair share of pitt bulls and other large dogs. I don't have a problem with pitt bulls and other breeds that people get all worked up about. But when you see them in a place that says they are "not allowed" you just start to wonder what other things people are doing and getting away with.

There is garbage everywhere and the grass is constantly being over watered. The grass clippings are just left out in the yard on a sack after someone goes through and mows.

They call it an Affordable Living establishment but that really is just a joke. The rent is far too high especially for how poor of quality the place is in. It is definitely not worth it!

I live here and I agree. I'm trying to get out and it's difficult. We also found a crack pipe after moving in.
