A really neat complex in a nice area of town. A huge park is right across the street, as is one of the best Jewish delis in the area. The apartments are well-maintained, and the management has worked hard to keep some of the original touches from when the apts were built (1960') such as the original clocks in the kitchen and some of the original pulls and handles in the kitchen and the bathroom. My apartment had a beautiful flagstone fireplace, and almost-floor-to-ceiling windows along the entire living room wall. If I had to make a complaint at all, it would be that the radiant ceiling-heat is slow and expensive. I had to break my lease to relocate out of state, and the management was so accommodating and helpful. If I ever move back to Portland, I'm definitely going back to Vermont Village!
