We have lived at the Vista St. Clair for over a year and have disliked it from the start! Rent is way too high for the amount of space you get. The building is OLD, so all appliances are also OLD. Carpet is dirty, no air conditioning and the heaters barely work. It takes atleast 5 minutes to get an elevator and once you get on, it is jammed packed with other people that also had to wait. Despite the bad things, the managment is very helpful and nice. The tennants are the opposite though. If you don't like RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL people, Vista St. Clair is NOT the apartment for you. I have been hit with a cane in the elevator, verbally abused in the workout room for forgetting to turn off the TV, had the elevator door shut in my face numerous times. Once I am in my apartment, I rarely leave b/c I don't want to face the people who also live there. The garage is huge, but if you have a nice car and don't want dings in the door....you would be better off parking on the street. The spaces are so small, an appropriate vehicle to park in there would be a VW Bug. I would strongly advise another apt building for your residence. Espically if you are young!

Humm.. Can't comment on the cost but apartment building age and size is self-evident, a good shopper should have figured that out before renting.

Yes, it does attract older tennants who have standards. They may not be able to grab and hold an elevator door and scolding someone who didn't take care of details doesn't surprise me at all. I grew up in the neighborhood, more than one kid has been "accidently" whacked by a cane when out of line... we all got the message and minded our manners or maintained a safe distance.
