Decent value apartments in inner SE Portland

Waverly Arms was a fairly respectable apartment building.
It was a basic 1960's era apartment building.
Nothing fancy but nothing horrible either.
I would recommend it for someone who is looking for a no frills value apartment in inner Southeast Portland.
Residents were all quiet and respected each other's space.
The best feature of the apartment building was it's price and location.
It's on the "better side" of Powell and 39th, so it was within walking distance of fun stuff on Division and not too far from the Hawthorne District.
It was also extremely nice to be able to walk to Safeway and Coffee People.
My bus commute to downtown Portland was a breeze.
My two bedroom apartment was pretty huge, though it had a weird patio door as a front door.
The negatives: It was right behind a used car lot and about a block off of Powell Blvd, a busy street.
The building needs upgrading since most apartments with electric heat now have vinyl windows.
These apartments still had their 1960's-style original aluminum sliders.
My electric bill could have been cheaper.
Not a bad apartment if you are trying to avoid the usual American Property Management ripe offs in inner SE Portland.
