These apartments are not too bad, but the building has recently been sold and the rents raised to a price that is frankly too high. The manager is decent: she addresses problems that need addressing and otherwise stays pretty low key. Parking can be a problem. No parking lot, so you have to park at a meter on the street (fine if you work during the day and can park at a meter at night when it's free) or park across the street along an un-metered stretch of road. Only a few times have I had to find a parking space more than a block away. Maintenance can be a bit of a problem. It takes a while to get anything done, to the point that I try to take care of things myself, or just try to ignore the little problems.
My biggest problem with the apartments is that we used to have a beautiful grassy backyard area which is now filled with piles of decaying leaves, old trellises with dead plants that were pulled up from other areas, and dead christmas trees, believe it or not. It used to be a nice area, now its essentially the dumping area. There is basically no maintenance of the grounds, except to pull up the dead plants and throw them into that area. It's a bit depressing. I'll be leaving soon because of the raised rent, and because there are only 3 washing machines for 50 apartments.
