it's okay

This is generally a nice place to live, although they do have noise issues outside. There are a lot of noisy kids that are allowed to play far too late into the evening. The parking situation is atrocious! There are attached garages, but if you cannot fit your vehicles into them (and they are narrow), you park on the street along with every other oversized car/truck/suv/etc. The street is too narrow for all these cars, and becomes essentially one way at nights. The apartment complex across the way rents to drug dealers, so the area after dark becomes dodgy. There are a few undesirable tenants that seem to have frequent visits from the law, but the outbursts are only about once every 1-2 months.
Otherwise, this place is quite nice. We rarely are disturbed by neighbor noise (we sometimes hear them, but not loud and clearly). It's generally the odd door banging, or vacuuming, and sometimes the toilet or shower. The majority of tenants seem very nice, although we all keep to ourselves pretty much (which is also nice). There's no forced sense of community, thankfully.
The pool is finally being constructed after a year of saying it would... although who knows if it will be built by next summer at this rate. The staff is generally very helpful, and there are onsite people throughout (which I haven't decided whether that's a benefit or not).
We are moving out, and are glad to be. Although I would recommend this place, just beware of which apartment. Do not rent near the pool area. Once that thing is built, all those kids will be there, and it echoes terribly in that little quad.
The apartments are actually very nice (new), and internet access is free (although it doesn't work often). It's expensive to live here, too.
My family and I are in the 3bd twnhs, and it has sufficed nicely until we could find a home here (which has been a challenge).
The major challenges, I would say, are parking (the race for the good spots), and the drugs/gang bangers/general problems across the street (it's too close for comfort). We park 2 cars on the street (all 3 of us have cars) and have never had problems with break-ins or dents or anything like that though (thankfully). Don't know of anyone having that here. So I guess the safety of this place is so/so. There is a night patrol security guy who drives through this place and the one across the street, which hopefully helps. And the lighting is adequate for the dark nights and mornings.
If you can afford it, it's worth it. They are probably more expensive than they need to be (considering we pay for all our own utilities except internet), but generally a good find.
