Check for street noise in your new unit

In addition to the other reviews here, I thought that I would add that it is important to listen carefully to the street noise in the unit that you may be looking at renting. The main streets (185th and Springville Road) are constantly in use between 6:00AM and about 11:30 PM. The quality of the windows used in the apartments is typical of apartments (fairly thin glass) so any of your windows facing the main streets will let the road noise come right on through. I was very surprised at the high-volume of traffic on the street, especially trucks in the morning. If you plan on sleeping past 6:00AM, you may have trouble depending on the unit.
Our unit is actually not on the street, but the noise manages to reflect off some of the other building and come right into our bedroom and living room. It?s so noisy that we?ve been comtemplating finding ways to soundproof the windows.
And, to echo another review, the garages are really small for two-car garages. We can, in fact, park our two cars in the garge. But they need to be almost touching end-to-end to the walls to make it happen - and my car is actually not very long. It?s a good thing to check out prior to moving in. We really wanted a two car garage, but we usually park one car outside, because it?s just such a tight fit.
We've had nothing but good experiences with the office staff, on the other hand. They've been very nice to us as we've moved in to the community.
