Noise, noise, noise

When we first moved in here at Westview, we were delighted. Pricing here compared to a similar floorplan at Lionsgate or Palladia is quite a bit less, and as we have an end unit townhome, it's bright and airy. The attached garage is large enough for us to store quite a bit of miscellaneous junk, as well as to park our '03 Cobra and one of our Harleys at the same time. The problem with living here is the noise. Once our first next-door neighbor left, things went drastically downhill. We are across from PCC, and the new tenants reflect this: younger, 20-ish people who have no idea what common courtesy means. These apartmens are set up like dominoes, which only serves to amplify any conversation, traffic, movement, whatever that's occurring outside. The walls are so thin that when our neighbors go up or down the stairs, it sounds as though someone is throwing a bowling ball down the stairs. When people go outside to smoke on the balcony, I can hear every word of their conversation --even if they are 3 or 4 apartments down. I have contacted the office regarding this issue more times than I can count, and their only response is to tell me they will speak to the residents in question and that I should call the security company when it happens. This is a NIGHTLY occurrance. I would have to agree with other reviewers on this site that the parking is also an issue. Many people do not use their garages for parking, but rather for storage, and so the open spot to car ratio is like 47,391 to 1. OK, maybe a slight exaggeration, but you get the gist. And the garbage company' We call 'em "Da Mob." I agree with a previous reviewer who said that they seem to pick and choose what they actually take on garbage day. It is a part of the lease that you use these *folks* for your garbage service, or else you are reneging on the terms of the lease. Oh, and my final gritch: the poop. There is more poop on the grass here than there is in the whole BES Wastewater Treatment plant on Columbia Blvd. Poop, poop, poop. We're staying yet another year though, because the price is good, and hell...what kind of a life would I have if I didn't have anything to gripe about'
