A Nightmare

I lived in this complex for five years. When I moved in the staff was a bit inexperienced but was diligent and tried very hard to make the tenant experience a good one. By the time I left in August 2008 it had descended into a a Porky's Movie.

There is considerable construction defect in these places, leaking water valves, caused a bathroom wall to be hacked up for a month and an 18' hole in my living room ceiling.
Doors need to be propped open as the building I lived in was not level.

I lived along Springville Road, which is amazingly noisy. I routinely woke up in the middle of the night to find police arresting someone coming the back way from the bar on Skyline. While I lived there my car was stolen from in front of the rental office. Many break-ins have occurred, though management never bothers to notify residents or encourage a community watch.

While this complex lists a nice variety of amenities they cut corners at every turn to provide the bear minimum. The pool is unheated and opens Memorial Day weekend and closes Labor Day weekend, even though there are routinely 90 degree days in Sept. Internet service is an "amenity" though it was disconnected due to non-payment of the complexes bill in April 2008 for ten days, this was confirmed to me by Richard Miller, President of Affinity Management. Internet service was routinely unavailable as they have a T-1 line which is appropriate for four buildings, but in fact services 44 buildings. Denobi Internet Services and WVH both confirmed this to me. The units are well designed and spacious, though there is no routine maintenance.
I lived there five years and requested my exterior windows be washed many times. They never were despite a very thick layer of dust. The units are 3 stories tall so this is not something you can do on your own.

Management does not care about anything except filling their units. Landscaping used to be nice, no more, weeds and moss were prolific. I called police in excess of 30 times after 1 am when tenants decided to have deck parties, a five day family reunion across the way typically went until 4am with music and noise. Management did nothing. A family across Springville Road now has a flock of chickens complete with roster who starts crowing at precisely 4:45 am. People across the way were setting off illegal fireworks in late July which were rockets. Police and Fire Depts. were unavailable, management did nothing, even though it could have burnt down my building 50 feet away. I had a neighbor with serious drug and alcohol issues and a home theatre system. Used to throw cans and bottles off his balcony and left dogs in the apartment without being home for days. I complained time after time and they did nothing until I threatened to move. They have started allowing dogs in which are aggressive, pittbulls.

Coming home from work on a Friday night I received a notice that my garbage can was out too long, even though garbage is collected late Friday mornings. Notices were sent in July that window installed air conditioners would be banned in the complex. Some of my neighbors had just purchased them for the Summer.

There are four units per building. The month I moved (there five years) the people next to me moved (there 2 1/2 years) and the woman around the corner moved after
there for 3 1/2 years. The one remaining tenant had been there for 3 months.

I do not reccomend this complex for $1,200-$1,800. a month you can do a lot better.

I agree completely with 100% of everything you mentioned. I lived there for less then a year, the place is literally horrible. I don't know how you managed to stay for so long! lol. Everybody you can do WAY better then this place, even if it weren't way over priced. Don't you just love when they decide they're going to charge fee's that WERE NOT IN OUR LEASE when they feel convient? I wish I could fee them everytime they mess up. I'd be rich!

the managers lie, and they will lose your packages. Can't wait to move. They are not helpful at all. The new management sucks. this place is not worth $1300 a month.
