It's just your typical apartment complex with a bunch of hassles and problems. Don't be fooled by their "tour" of the grounds after showing you their furnished model. They show you the clubhouse and everything that looks great, but it's so deceiving. All the security cameras are there for display and that's about it. I have never seen anyone actually looking at the monitors in the "clubhouse". Speaking of the clubhouse, not sure how they came up with that name since it's nothing more than a remodled centrally located area. The management staff can be nice, but the leasing agents often have an attitude problem. They appear nice, but it's nothing more than a phony attitude to get you to sign a new lease. Do NOT settle for their offers. If they say there is only a 10 month lease "available" - pressure them for a shorter lease if you want a shorter one and you will eventually win. They are all about fooling you until you say you will move out or not move in and then they give in to your offers.
The studios are nice, and that's the reason why I chose to live here. It's a good setup with a full kitchen and a nice size. As others mentioned, the walls are thin, but noise isn't too much of an issue. The rent is a little steep, but in my opinion, my studio is in pretty good condition so the rent is pretty fair. Maintenance is decent. If you submit a request for work, they come fairly fast (within a day) but half the time they don't fix it correctly. Parking is always available, but I don't understand how or why they charge 20 bucks a month for covered parking (if you want uncovered it's free). Sure if it was secured that's a fair price, but 20 bucks to cover your car'
The apartment complex is not very convenient, meaning you either have to drive or take the bus to places, but there are 2 bus lines that are near the complex. The complex lacks a community feeling as well.
It would sure be nice if they held less functions in the "clubhouse". I doubt many people go to these things and it would be nice to put that money towards not raising rent or something. The laundry room is decent - not bad and not great. One thing I really get tired of is the trash outside people's apartments. I have complained but little is done. People consistantly leave their trash outside of their apartment and it starts to make the whole area smell. Also, be aware that sewer and water are NOT included in the rent. Instead, they hire an outside company to do the processing and billing for water and sewer which makes no sense to me since it costs more. It would cost less and would be easier just to include it in the rent, but like I mention, this is a strategy of theirs to cover things up - not including it in the rent means the rent appears lower but remember it's not since you have to pay water and sewer.
Would I recommend it' Well it's up to you. I don't feel one way or another about it. Just don't be fooled by the pool and the "clubhouse" and their fancy furnished models. It may seem like a great complex until you move in and it's just your typical average apartment complex in the middle of southeast.
