Moving in was very easy. The staff is courteous and helpful (thanks Heather!), the weight room/laundry facilities are clean and spacious, the grounds are well kept, and the pool area was enjoyable to use.

But once we moved in was when the problems were realized. We had to call the police twice in the first few weeks of being there because of domestic violence issues. We could always hear the neighbors on both sides and below us. Walking a half mile to the dumpster was not fun. When friends visited, they usually had to park blocks away in a residential neighborhood. The layout of the buildings is so gigantic and convoluted (over 500 units!'!), it was near impossible to find my way around.

Ants: Yes, ants are a problem. If you don't clean after every meal and keep food in airtight containers, they will overwhelm you. I had to put clear silcone caulk in all cracks in the kitchen and pantry cupboards. We called the office to have them come spray, but they never showed up. As a matter of fact, the maintenance didn't show up the whole time we were there to fix any of the problems on the move-in checklist.

If you get a choice, I cannot recommend enough to get an apartment upstairs. Most of the complaints I've heard about mold were from downstairs apartments that NEVER see the sun. We had one of the loft apartments with two balconies -- better than most, but still bad with the mold.

I moved out after only 3 months because I couldn't stand it there anymore. A smaller complex in the same area would have been better.
