Read this if you value your life!!!!!

Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2006
I lived in this place for 6 of the longest years of my life. The first year was not so bad. I lived on the far side nearest to Holgate. At least it was halfway quite. Then I decided to "save money" and moved to a smaller apartment on the other side, on Colt Drive, the little alleyway close to Steele.
If you value your life, DO NOT LIVE ON COLT DRIVE. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, MAN! (OR WOMAN). I CAN'T SAVE MYSELF, BUT I CAN SAVE YOU!
At all hours of the night, there are assh*les standing out on the balconies till 2 or 3 am, partying and laughing and talking really loud. The sound echoes off the sides of the buildings. You tell them to keep it down and they say **** you. Then on the 30th of June they start setting off firecrackers. It builds up to the night of the 4th, which resembles the shelling of Iowa Jima before the first wave of marines went in. This continues until about the 7th or 8th. I thought I would go insane.
Then there was the fire in which someone died. On the day I moved out, there was a cop car that came screaming up. No big deal, they come there all the time! Then later it left, and the medical examiners van drove up at a leisurely pace. So there were 2 people leaving Colt drive that morning, not just me!
Maintenance is awful, I had so many things break, they really loved to use duct tape on everything. It would work for about 10 minutes and break. The winter it got cold, a mouse the size of a cocker spaniel moved into my apartment. They gave me rat poison and I had to use about 20 lbs of it before that son of a ----- finally died. I found his bloated corpse in my laundry about 3 weeks after I had moved.
I got my car broken into twice, they shattered the window one of the times. Make that twice, the 3rd time they just rummaged through the glove compartment, but were kind enough to leave the glass intact. Thoughtful! When I went to mgmt., they just acted disinterested. Like it happened all the time, which I am sure it does.
In summary, if you do have to get an apartment here, get a SHORT LEASE, and if they say it is going to be on Colt Drive, RUN!!!!!!!
