Long time resident here. It was nice when I moved in and affordable. The staff at that time was helpful and pleasant. Since then we have gone through countless managers and assistant managers. We have also had countless maintenance people; you never know who will be the next to enter into your apartment and who you can trust. Not only that, but a lot of the management have been shady. They started to also let some very shady people move into the apartments.
Two years ago we discovered mold in our apartment. At that time we discovered other tenants had mold problems too. After letting management know about the problem, the maintenance man came in and cleaned the mold with bleach, which we are very allergic to. At that time that is all they did. Now two years later it has spread and become worse. Then they wanted all tenants to sign a form saying if we had mold it would be our fault and not theirs. These apartments are only 8 or 9 years old and they are poorly built.
Since I have lived here they have had to re-roof the apartments three times. Three years ago they also painted the apartments, only they painted over the old paint, so the new paint has either chipped off or peeled off. They hire cheap people to do the jobs. One night after the painting people left, they forgot to take the paper and plastic off the automatic lights and a fire almost started to where I had to call the fire department. Manager was told and she had "no clue" about it. Painting people showed up and gee they couldn't even speak English.
The police are here every other day, there are thefts, there are psycho's who live here. I don't think they care who they move in as long as they have some kind of income.
There is no play area for kids, so the kids play in the parking lot...right in the way of cars driving in and out.
I have heard from other neighbors that they have bugs, rotting floorboards, leaking windows, bad appliances and much more. Which reminds me, when I use my broiler it starts on fire and smokes a lot, maintenance has been in and claimed he "fixed" it but it still does it. I have had to have a new fridge twice, three times if you get technical, because they leak water everywhere out the bottom.
We also got free cable for about 4 years, and then the management decided to start charging $20 a month for it...even to those residents who had leases. They also discontinued leases, isn't that nice.
So back to my current mold problem, after fighting sometime with them about whose fault it was, they had someone finally come in and clean the mold with, gee bleach again. DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM!!! So now they want to come in and paint over it. My door knob to my front door keeps falling apart and they also lost my keys I just found out. The doors also let in air during the winter. The electric bills are over $100 every month. When you put in a maintenance request, they take a week or two or possibly never to come in and fix the problem. Toilets leak and run all the time. No circulation...its either really cold or really hot. Water heaters have been exploding lately. Carpets are crappy, very poor quality. Linoleum is a very poor quality. Counter tops are poor quality. We have had a problem with carpet beetles and I am a very clean person with a very clean apartment!!!
Wishy washy about policies like pets. Parking sucks. They won't let you transfer within the community to a bigger place. Outlet fixtures are loose, can't keep things plugged in, or problems with sparking and not working. There a lot of closets, but no storage space. Kitchens are small. Managers are very nosy. I can't even begin the problems I have had with managers in the past, one I had to get a restraining order against. I have lived here for a very long time in my mind. I have never been late on rent, I have zero noise complaints, and an all around good tenant in my mind.
They are lenient to people who can't pay rent on time, but someone is getting evicted at least once a week. One last thing, a new rule has been issued: No BBQs on the patio/balcony, only small hibachi grills.
I would not recommend this apartment to anyone. I have heard that from quite a few residents. No one wants to speak up because you will get chewed out from the manager. It's really sad to see the shape of the apartments now. Five years ago I would have told the whole world about this place.

I have just recently started a lease so far no problems. I hope that none of this will go on while I am there.

How sad all the mold and appliance issues have come about. I am totaly mad that I was lied to about there being NO MOLD!! My lease is up in a few months and I AM OUTTA HERE!! I am highly allergic to mold and I have a ton of it!!
