After reading several reviews, people seem to have problems with the ducks. I found the duck and cat population to be the best part of living here. Had a lovely one bedroom, top floor with patio that overlooked the lake. Granted, I really dig wildlife and if you don't, move downtown or on some noisy street if you prefer car noise, honking, car alarms and looneys to the sound of ducks. Jeez.
They went thru three managers in the two years I was here, the first was very nice but a little timid. The second, all business which is respectable. The third, seemed to have little experience and very unconfident. Paid my rent on time and was left alone by management which is highly desirable.
My car was broken into here and later stolen outright. This is more a matter of the fact that only Washington County sheriffs patrol this area and they are few and far between.
For the folks who want to be noisy and party all night, you can find somewhere else too. For the chick who played the bongos and dance music at 3am, you especially can take a hike with your yappy toy dog. Sorry, just had to get that out... Additionally, I would highly recommend a complex-wide no smoking policy!! I lived above a smoker and as I always had my windows open, the smoke washed right thru my place with the breeze, yuck, cough!
Overall, the apt was clean, well kept and fresh. Loved the loft and skylight. Most neighbors were extremely pleasant, I am in my 30's and say more older people the better.
In all, if you want peace and quiet, like animals and a foresty setting, it is a great place!! Like anywhere, you have to put up with some neighbor issues. I currently rent a 400K house in a silly subdivision devoid of trees, cats and wildlife and greatly miss the ducks of Woodlake Apts!!!! I would happily move back there!! odusyNYCcZ7yL3Bj5JtG
