I lived here for a year and a half, and it was okay at first. Getting stuck behind the trains is the biggest downfall. I don't find the train noise too annoying. You just have to have air conditioning in the summer, so you can keep your windows closed or it's really loud. People complain about safety issues... although I don't think that's a big deal. Just be aware that it's part dormitory (AI students)... part regular apartments... part section 8. It's a strange mix of people. I'm more tired of my loud neighbors than I am of loud trains. Decent rent... for a decent location. Easy to walk to downtown and by the water.
