LC will bust your ass for years to come

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007
I lived in LC from 1999 - 2002. Back then, the environment was pretty good but was declining fast by the time I left. The deadbolt lock on my door had broken several times and each time it was "repaired". Well, the last time it was "repaired" I was out of town for 3 days, thieves broke into my apt. and took about $3000 worth of stereo equipment, CD's, DVD's, a handgun and computer equipment...because the deadbolt was broken. Sheesh!!!
Alright, I can live with the theft but 1 year after I moved out, my wife and I were trying to buy a house when all of a sudden, I get this blip on my credit record from - guess who - Lancaster Commons. Evidently I owed $100 - get this - for a drip pan under the stove. WTF''!''' So, in the interest of expiditing our loan process, I paid the damn fee after fighting not only with LC staff - "It's not our problem, talk with the collection agency." but also with the collection agency which was a boil inducing nightmare all it's own.
In short, I agree with many of the posts on here. The place may look decent enough, but if the rotten neighbors don't drive you nuts, the goofy charges years down the road and/or the ignorant staff surely will. You've been warned.
