Wonderful place to live to start out, even though it is in Felony Flats (Nice view of the penitentiary.) After 2 years, cars were being broken into and drug activity increased. Some of this might be attributable to the general decline of Salem, but at least part of it was due to neglect and poor management. Noisy neighbors. Garbage is sometimes on the ground out by the dumpster. Repairs are slow or not at all. Security lighting is burning out and no one replaces the bulbs. No landcape maintenance. Bushes by the front doors are so overgrown, you almost need a machette to beat your way into your apartment. Very unsafe security. Careless residents throw smoldering cigarettes into the barkdust in summer. I had to put out three small fires myself, that probably would have burned down the whole place if gone unnoticed.
