I have to say when I wrote the Original I was a little hot under the collar about a lot of things that have been going on. Any of the things said before were simply my OPINION and in no way reflect on the managers. Fact of the matter is while there have been some bumpy spots here there will be bumpy spots anywhere. It is kind of sad that they blocked me from making any further reviews as I would change some ratings in a heartbeat. Since my review they have at least attempted if not fixed the pool. Smoking is still an issue but it seems like it is being dealt with. Rent is good, the neighbors are good, parking isn't all that bad once you get used to it. I apologize for the pool comment. I was misinformed by someone who talked to one of the managers and evidently misheard the information. All in all I would rate this as a good place to live and in the end there are way worse places than this. Also for all the people that need to know. Once the Maintenance person knows it needs to be fixed. It is fixed quickly and accurately. Most of this information was found by simply asking people who weren't angry with the management.

Hello, In response to your posting:
To get your information correctly the pool was not rented out. Anyone that lives here is and was able to swim. We did have a Pool BBQ for my niece that was private and not for the general public. One would hope that we would not be expected to feed persons we don't know , however this did not interfere with any other resident swimming in the pool.
As far as the pool, we had to shut it down for 2 days and we worked around the clock trying to get the pump up and running. Which we did along with the help of several other residents. However, we cannot keep the pool open with no pump working. If we do it is considered a hazard and if the city were to come out then they would and could shut us down for up to four weeks. SO being shut down for 2 days is way better. We also had to shut it down because someone vandalised the pool after hours. We had to fully clean the pool and shock it.
On top of that for the inconvience of being shut down for two days, we left the pool open till 1100 pm for 4 days. All the residents were thrilled by this. As far as the managers not living on-site. Let me correct you and tell you that we didn't move off site, we moved apartments. I would also like to tell you that even if we leave for a weekend, what we do on our off time is our own business. That is what our other staff is here for. As far as me making this statement :
----- said "I can't take you on a tour because the apartment in question isn't ready yet, but if you want you can apply and pay your deposit and first months rent then we can take you in when it is ready but you better hurry because there was a guy here a little bit ago asking about it (which I have a good feeling now that, that was a lie)"
I never have said that. To hold an apartment one must always put down a deposit. We also don't show apartments that are not ready. We also advise potential residents that want to know about the property, to come at different time of the day and speak with our current residents about how they like it here. As such I can also say that we have many residents who have left, who have come back and are very happy here. If anyone has a problem then they need come to us and we will take care of it quickly.
As far as no cats? You have been misinformed. For the last 3 years, you can check our Rental Guide, we do allow them with a deposit. SO I don't understand what you are referring to.
As far as parking, every resident here gets there own parking spot. There is plenty of offsite extra parking. However, since it's city streets, there is no way that you can expect us to control it. You must contact the city. We also have no problem with our residents parking in the office parking from 6pm to 7am. so long as there vehicle are moved in the morning.
Next, I have not seen any "Gang Members" here, So we don't know how to answer that.
We do know that from time to time, in the surrounding area, that there have been some issues with younger persons. But that has nothing to do with our property? We have no control over that.
You then speak about a towel being stolen, what can we do about that, many residents swim out there and we can't be expected to see everything.
As far as the cameras those are not in place as a form of security but as a way to just keep a general eye on the property. We have never needed to "tape" on the property. We haven't had any need or reason to. However, we will send a survey out to our residents asking them if they feel this is needed.
NExt, We also have no control over what any resident does in their own apartment so long as it does not disturb anyone. I have not had any complaints about anyone drinking outside their apartment. You should be contacting us if this is happening.
Next, you state that we never answer the on-call phone. That is very untrue. I can say we do take calls, and if we don't answer right away, it's because we are listening to the message left. Standard protocal is that our residents call and leave a message and then we check the message to see if it's an EMERGENCY, or something that can wait till. morning. An example would be over the off street parking that you have an issue with. Calling us after hours over this is not considered and emergency and can wait till morning. Now if you had called with a huge plumbing problem, then we would respond quickly and that is considered and EMERGENCY.
We cannot help you if you do not leave your name or phone number.
You also then go on to state that you are not happy with the bugs in the pool?
Okay, we cannot control how many bugs like to fly into the pool. All we can do is SKIM the pool several times a day.
As far as us not caring because you allege that we have a pool at our house? One how do you know we have a house? and Two our family swims here and has swum here for the last 6 years. As far as having a pool at our other residence, I can assure you that we do not. Then again, if you are talking about where my daughter lives, yes, where she lives they have a pool. But her complex has a pool?
Next, you are complaining about smokers smoking on the landings? THank you for letting us know about it.
We will get right on it.
Our property does not allow ANY smoking on the wooden landings or on the NEW carpet on the landings. This is considered a hazaard. All our residents are required to sign an addendum to that affect.
I will get right on it.
Last, in ending this I want to make myself very clear. What we do on our own time with our family is our own business. If we choose to swim where our daughter lives is in no way anyones business but our own. We are entitled to our privacy just as you are entittled to yours. I find it extremeley concerning that you are intruding on our personal time and space and seem to think that you know personal stuff about us. If you need someone at corporate to "check" our other residence for a pool. Then so be it, you will be in for a surprise.
As far as issues with just this property and not off the property, then you need to come into the office with your concerns or we will not be able to help you.
You can reach us at 503-362-7872 or in the case of an emergency you can reach us at 503-580-3179

Wow! I am just reading review to decide where to live. In my opinion, the management did not do themselves a favor by repsonding to the tenants concerns. The management seems immature and rude. I will not be applying at this apartment complex.
