My wife and I have lived here a little over a year now. We love it. Yes, it is a little more expensive then many of the apartments in the area, however it is is also the nicest apartment complex in the area. You get what you pay for.

Many of the negative reviewers may, have had one or two bad experiences. Yes, the mangement can sometimes be curt, but they do a good job. Gail, the manager who another reviewed very negatively, is very nice. I think some people just don't like it when they don't hear what they want to hear, such as no to a discount on their rent renewal. This is hardly a reason to bash the management.

The buildings are nice. I think the new paint job looks good (much better then the old one). They community is very quiet, nice neighbors, and no, you don't hear the floorboards squeak like another reviewer said. The apartments are big for the money and very well maintained.

Sherwood is an awesome place to live. Sunfield Lakes are the best apartments.

Gail? Is that you??? I have to say, every run in with Gail was unpleasant. She made me put my TROWEL away which I used for gardening because it made my porch look cluttered. She lied about sending me a notice about raising my rent. She stood me up for my exit-inspection and then tried to gouge us for 'cleaning costs' that were unfounded. And THEN she tried to stand me up for a review of these said price-gouges, saying she had a dinner date, though we had made the appointment more than a week earier. She was rude and mean and exasperated to take the time to meet with us at the arranged time and finally kicked us out of her office because she was late for her date. Luckily for us, she was so angry she just washed our hands of us and cleared our charges. Hurray! So, even though it turned out okay in the end, Gail is NOT the barrel of monkeys you paint her to be. You're not fooling anyone, Gail.

The low recommended percentage says it all. Sunfield Lakes is crap.
