Based on the previous reviews, it sounds like this place had great management at one time, but has progressively gotten worse with time. I moved in to a 1-bedroom upstairs apartment in August 2006. At the time, I wasn't too sure that the manager was competent at her job, but hey, the rent was cheap, it's a good location and I figured since she wasn't giving me crap about moving in with a cat (even though they have a no pet policy) I'd take it. I lived in that apartment for a year. I had quiet neighbors, no real issues with the unit or upkeep, the only thing I would have changed was to add more unmarked parking spaces for guests. Then my boyfriend and I moved into a much larger 2-bedroom unit in the complex. They promised us fresh paint on all the walls. We got touch up paint instead. It took almost a month to get our hall closet doors repainted and put back in the apartment. They promised us all new carpet. We got carpet cleaning and stains instead. But at least we got one covered spot for my car. We had various maintenance problems with the apartment when we moved in and could not count on the head maintenance manager to do anything. I don't know where he gets off calling himself the "Maintenance King" but he needs to just keep on smoking whatever he's smoking and hire someone who's competent to do his job. As far as noise goes, our apartment is unlucky enough to be situated over 2 other units, one of which houses a young man who likes to play his drums at odd hours. The other unit seems to have a bathroom fan that is permanently on, which wouldn't be a problem except that it's right below our bed. I suppose they need to leave it on to keep the mold at bay. We've gotten one noise complaint, but for the most part we're quiet and always pay our rent on time each month, but within the past week we have received a 30 notice of termination of tenancy, no cause. That's right, they're kicking us out for no reason. So, I guess if I WERE to recommend this apartment complex to a friend (which I wouldn't) I would tell that friend that you probably shouldn't get too comfortable because you never know when they might kick you out for no reason. Oh, and by the way, go ahead and move in with a small dog if you want - they don't seem to care.
