Not too shabby

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I moved to Eugene/Springfield as a student looking for inexpensive housing--and I found it. My one bedroom is far cheaper than it would be in Portland, and comes with water, sewer, and garbage paid, plus free cable. My apartment has been very quiet, only disturbed once by neighbor noise. All requests for maintainace have been met promptly. I love the office staff here, they are always friendly and helpful. Though the buildings are older and their interiors dated, they have been well-kept and are very roomy compared to newer apartments. My guests have always been able to find parking. Laundry rooms are clean and well-lit. Very near to shopping mall and restaurants. Just a ten minute drive into downtown Eugene; on major busline.
Caveats: garbage needs to be fetched more often or there need to be more dumpsters. Occasional undesireables in area, but the Afterhours man will always shoo them away.
I would live here again, definitely.
