Hello - This is Shelly *****! We've been speaking back and forth for some time now and I found that everyone I spoke to was very nice and extremely helpful. I was so excited to move up there. We rented two U-hauls, stuffed them full. We took our VERY young children and drove them all the way from ARIZONA, stopped to rest in Ca and took off that very next day for OR to move into the apartment #k24. We drive into your apartment complex (which by the way is BEAUTIFUL! ) excited, nerve racked and couldn't wait to kick off our shoes, put the baby on the floor to crawl around and stretch out and just move in!!!! First thing is first - we walk in and ( Unfortunately I don't recall the lady's name so she will just be called Lady) a lady walks up, helpful at first and we write over a check in 800 or so, and she says well lets sign the lease and then we can go see the Apt. I gave her a look and she said, or you can view the apt first... Which ever! So I SAID, I want to view it before we sign. We go up to #k24 and as soon as we walk in I was already unhappy. The apartment had an odor. As you go further, near the kitchen - I realized this was not the EXACT Floor plan I wanted and that things were "switched around". Near the kitchen by the hallway near the washer and drier - STAINS! all over the floor... The lady says, OH.. THAT'S just the lighting on the carpet, this carpet is weird. I walk into the kitchen, CUTS all over the counters as if some one had a fit and began cutting up the counter! The lady states, Oh.. I will write that down.... ( I don't get that') I open the dish washer - some one cut that up too, plus the outside of the dish washer was discolored and ugly from water' or maybe they just didn't CLEAN it' I open the cabinet under the sink, noticed a small odor. Went to the bathroom and opened the droors, STAINS! all over them.... I turn on the facet and notice that where the water comes out, its YELLOW and the water doesn't spray, it sorta LEAKS. All the linoleum in every single room that hd it was old, yellowed and DARK orange where it looked like some one LEAKED water and it had sat. Oh!!!!! Let me get to the last thing :) This is what made me leave. When you first walk into an apartment, it looks nice and they mask up ANYTHING that they don't want you to know about... You didn't even do that! and of you did, and that's what you call MASKING well... I would HATE to see what happens after you sign a 12 mo lease like we were about to. My dining room wall, I was way excited to get a FREE paint on one wall and I had just bought a dining room table that would FIT perfectly in that area and match the shade of Adobe Red you had, so I said, YEAH! Lets paint that wall... You didn't EVEN bother to paint the whole thing! My 4 year old could have done that better. Where the walls met, it wasn't painted. I mean.... Who wouldn't have noticed that' So, after viewing, I told the lady I didn't like that apt and that I wanted another one, she told me.. well, If you want another one, same floor plan same floor everything, it will be an additional 50 dollars a month!!!!!!!!! WHAT'''''' My apt is DIRTY unkept and painted like a 4 yr old had done it, and you are going to CHARGE ME for a better apt that is the exact same floor plan as the one I just viewed''''''''' ( by the way floor plan is not the one we WANTED in the first place) The whole time we were viewing the apt the lady kept saying ... " Ok... Ok... Lets go sign the lease and anything you find after, you have 45 days to report and we will fix free of charge" Um...... I found enough that my rent should have been reduced to 400.00 a mo! She was rushing us, and saying... I will do anything to make you happy, This is what would have made me HAPPY : Floor plan I wanted, un switched around. Clean, Not facing Dumpsters like k24, Fully painted wall, Rent Reduced, etc. You can figure it out. I am so mad. We drove all the way back to CALIFORNIA! Have to buy a storage center because the Uhauls are 150 a day to rent out. We spent a lot of time n money on this, you would think that after speaking to us you could have had the place CLEANED, changed the carpet and got rid of the cuts on ... well... Now, we have to stay here for about 6 mo to save up some money again since we spent it all trying to get up OR for a nice place to live....


You are all very mis leading your model apartment is nothing like the one you showed me, maybe in SIZE 910 Sqft but that is it! Thank you for wasting our time, our money and our patience. We will not be moving in there any time soon. You will find this letter on ApartmentRatings.com and I am giving it to the company as well... not just the apartment manager Clif and Liz.

--- I would like to add - As of May 22, 2004 they refunded 160.00 that was to be NON refundable. I am VERY amazed at that :) I thank them for it. That was awesome that they took responsibility for what had happen!

Still - I do not recommend them, Sorry! I will however rate the staff better and REPOST this. Thank you again.
