I have lived in this complex for 6 months now and I have few complaints about it. The landscaping is beautiful and we live on the smaller side across the street from the main group of buildings so it is much quieter I would imagine. The parking is great, we've never had any problems, even with two cars, of finding a good space. Even after I get off work around midnight I can always find a spot close by and it's very safe from all my experiences. The noise is what is to be expected at any apartment complex. We had two elephant people living above us constantly making noise and now that they have moved out we have had the maintenance and cleaning people above us for the last three days making more noise than the others ever did. There is rarely a moment from 9 to 5 that they aren't sounding like they are jumping around up there.
While on the subject of maintenance, they are quite unreliable in my experience. Right when we moved in we had several issues that we tried to address. Our bathtub faucet was literally coming out of the wall and they fixed that immediately but our living room window had moisture between the panes and it took us 6 calls to the office, where no one knew what was going on to finally figure out when it would be fixed. All the office would tell us is that they would try and contact someone to fix it. Never a date or any progress. Finally they called me and told me it needed to be installed the next day....two months after we moved in! Also, on our back patio when we moved in the ceiling from the patio above us was falling down in the corners, drooping with a wasp's nest in it. After we told them (two days after we moved in) they came and fixed it, without giving us any warning whatsoever. They don't need to tell you they are coming to fix it, they just put a ladder up to our patio (three stories up) and climbed up to fix it while we were sitting in the living room. That took four months and it seems like it would have been easier to just ask to walk through our apartment onto the patio. Similarly they do all sorts of stuff without giving us any warning. They powerwashed our patio, with no warning...just climbed up the ladder three stories onto our patio and soaked everything in our patio storage. Same thing with painting our railings. Why don't they EVER tell us the work they are doing regarding our apartments'!'
So keep in mind that the maintenance takes quite a while with some requests, and except for Leland, everyone in the office seems quite inept at answering your questions. They are nice and friendly, but not helpful.
Oh and I definitely would have to agree about low-quality fixtures in the apartments. They show you pictures of marble countertops and stainless steel appliances, but only if you pay an extra hundred a month. We have cheap linoleum that stains and scratches easier than anything else. And I've heard about the ridiculous move-out fees they pin on you. It's great you can get into the apartment with minimal fees (except a dog will throw you back $500, at least $200 of which is non-refundable) but moving out is where you get hit the most. Not looking forward to that pleasant experience
I wouldn't advise against living here but I would research what you are getting into. The property is beautiful but wander around the complex after the office closes and see how it really is to get a feel for things. All in all, I don't mind living here but I'll move once my lease is up.

We recieved a notice on our door when the pressure washing and re-painting of the patios/trim was to happen. It did take the contracted company longer than they had quoted us to finish the job, but we moved all of our things on the patio inside and it went fine! I actually appreciate the fact that they did clean, re-paint and update our buildings.
My family and I really enjoy living here.
