I lived there for many, many years. In summary, it is far too expensive for what you get. My rent steadily increased over the years not in pace with inflation but to subsidize the lost revenues from the high turnover rate (read all the reasons below).

Eventually, I rented a house. It was cheaper.

All the reasons below what? I doubt that you found a house in the 97224 area that was in your words 'cheaper'. I stand by my claim that Avalon Park is the best choice for the money in the "area". Can you find cheaper? yes. Can you find more amenities? yes. Might you find a house somewhere in the Portland metro area that is "cheaper" maybe. Avalon Park is still the best option for the money in the "Area"

Please take any "positive" reviews with a grain of salt. The staff of Avalon regularly checks this site and has posted their own responses. They truly are a nightmare to deal with!

Terrible management; noisy apartments. Almost anything is better than Avalon Park.
