The staff was very nice and accommodating at first but that slowly changed over the next nine months. After we moved out, we had cleaned our apartment for over five hours to ensure getting our full deposit back. One of the maintenance guys did the final walk though and kept mentioning how good it all looked. I had asked that if there were any discrepancies to please notify us. We were notified by mail that more than half of our deposit was going to be kept because the apartment was not "pristine," and it needed to be repainted. When I called for clarification, I was actually told that the paint should last two years and the unit had to be repainted. Maybe if they used quality paint, it would last more than two years. We were even given some of their paint at one point during our stay so we could do our own touch up painting and this still wasn't good enough. I actually think they were trying to recoup some of the money they had to put out in maintenance visits to our unit.
I also didn't feel very safe there. Behind the complex there were homeless people living along the walking paths. The police were there many times doing "sweeps.'
