My fiance i have been living here since June of '07 and we have been disastisfied since our move in date. The day we moved in was our first big hurdle. The fridge melted our food. We told the staff and they said we could move our food to a unit that is 3 doors down, without paying for the $150 of food we lost. 2 weeks later they moved a fridge from a different unit that froze all of our food even at the lowest setting. It took us 1 month to get them to order us a new fridge. While this was going on i had to run the dry 4 times to get a small load of laundry dry. We once again told them that the dry was costing is a fortune in our electric bill, which they stated that they would pay but never did. We got a new dryer. But after a 1 month for that which we had to go to 2 different apartments to wash our clothes one of the units we actually had to get in the car and drive to it. Thats not even the worst of it. My fiance left to kansas for business and i was sitting on the couch and i started to smell smoke, i turned around and saw smoke coming from the laundry area and opened the doors and the washer was smoking, it had caught on fire. I then immediatly called the staff and said it smoking and its on fire then ----- stated well are you using it, your not suppose to be using it, about 3 weeks before i stated to them that it was leaving water in the tub and leaving this yellow grease from underneath the washer. They said everything was fine just to clean it up. Well needless to say i told ----- i dont give a rats ass if this place burns down since you dont care to even to come up and check it out and then accuse me of washing clothes in a washer that doesnt even work. I then un plugged the washer and left for work and basically said screw it i have rental insurance. Still it took them another 2 weeks to get us a new washer. Finally i made a 2 page list of everything they need to come fix in our apartment or we will be making legal action. They fixed most of the stuff. We just got a letter letting us know our lease is up in June and that rent would be going up, i basically stated that no it will not and we will be paying the same price or i will contact my lawyer with all of these things that should of never happened. I havent heard anything else about raising our rent lately
