If you can't get any other place to live, have a non running van with flat tires and is full of garbage, or are just looking for a dumpster to throw your trash away in, you are welcome here.

After reading through the reviews about criticism about "Mexico Creek", I have come to many conclusions. I am a past resident, and still know people who live there. I lived there through my lease, which was undoubtedly more than a month, like the last person who posted. All I can say is that I hope you can delete your review as fast as possible, before you get made fun of much more. Nice try comparing apples to oranges, but your review was worthless. Please feel free to write a review after actually living through a lease there, if you make it that long there.
I wish that everyone who had posted a comment to someone else's review had also written a short review. The ratings would have come down much more.
- I had my cars broken into multiple times. The parking lot lighting around much of the complex is very dark.
- The office staff is very passive, and it takes quite a bit of time to accomplish anything asked of them.
- Its funny that I read multiple reviews with apartments with flea problems. My family was getting bit at night, and at first we thought mosquitos or spiders. Come to find out its, Flea haven.
- If you have a dog that other apartments won't let you have, you will be welcome here. And feel free not to pick up after your dog, as many of the other residents don't as well. Its sad when you can't walk through the grass, the walkways, and even to the carports without seeing piles of dog crap. Futile attempts have been made by the staff with threats to punish the dog owners, but nothing gets done about it.
- I used to laugh nearly daily about the numerous broken down Vans parked in the back of the apartments, that are full of trash, have flat tires and no current plates or tags, while you drive around to find a damn parking spot that you can feel your vehicle is safe enough in.
- If you know someone who lives in Beaverton or Tigard or anywhere close, feel free to tell them to throw their old furniture, mattresses, or car parts away at Meadow Creek. Everyone else does. There isn't even the "Dumpsters are for residents only, Violators will be prosecuted" sign anywhere. I don't doubt that the residents are taking up the slack for the garbage bills in their rent at all.
- If you speak Spanish, especially fluently, then you will be just fine when you need to tell the neighbors to move their kids crap from in front of your front door.
- Have fun with the smelly creeks and small ponds. Hopefully they have cleaned them by now, but I doubt it. Have fun laughing at the unsupervised kids as they play in them just as much as I did.
- If you leave your windows open when the lawn maintenance people come, prepare for your house to smell like 2 stroke gas/oil for days after from their equipment.
- Don't mind the people digging through the dumpsters as you throw your trash away. Just throw it and RUUUUUUUUNNNNN!!
- When using the oven, don't go by the instructions on the box.. Watch your food.. Everything is so old, that it doesn't work the way it should.
- When the cupboards lamination peels off shortly after move in or even before, don't worry, a few months later the office will hopefully address the situation with a bucket of paint.
- If you loooooove cigarette smoke, then hopefully you get the neighbor who sits outside of your apartment and smokes and stinks up your apartment as well. You can shut the windows, but its already too late, and hopefully it isn't 100 degrees outside.
I am sure I could go on and on, but any potential resident now has some insight to as how things really are at Mexico Creek, I mean Meadow Creek. If you cannot get accepted because you have a big dog, you will be approved there. If you have 8 family members living in a 1 or maybe 2 bedroom house, you will be approved there. Equity needs to establish better rules and follow through on them as well as replace the staff. I now see why good apartments have the procedures and rules that they do. As time goes by, this complex has gotten worse and worse.

I have been reading these reviews for the last hour and have been laughing uncontrollably. I, too, was a resident who just moved within the last few months, out of Meadow Creek and I am going to have to agree with much of what Happy2move has said. My car was also broken into with various items stolen from it. I think that it just depends what part of the complex that you live in. The central drive has plenty of light but the surrounding drive is pretty dark and isn't always the easiest to find a parking spot depending on which part of the day or night it is. I had a few good neighbors, but I also had one with a dog that barked constantly. I tried to keep to myself and not bother anyone, but it seems like others were not concerned about that. My biggest problem with the apartments when I was there, was all of the dogs. I also saw many piles of dog mess left by the owners of the animals. I have seen peoples dogs go running and barking at other people walking the pathways, and some animals unrestrained at all. I have witnessed personally, people with their animals in the pool area as well. I think that the staff doesn't see much of what goes on, so it is hard for them to warn the people.
I heard that the apartments were about to be painted and would look better outside, but that seems to just mask the real problems at Meadow Creek. I hope that the staff addresses the dog situation in the future. It could be a great complex community, but there are definitely quite a few underlying issues that need to be dealt with first.
1. Rules and enforcement for dog owners
2. Lighting in carports and drives
3. Parking of broken down vehicles that are obviously not running and taking parking from other residents
4. Updates inside the apartment units
