Summer Creek
AVERAGE RATING

I just found out about this website today and had to see what my apartment rated.
The location of this place is great. I never hear road noise and I have a dog that I take running around Summer Lake Park, after a few laps I let him run around with the other dogs in the dog park.
In my experience, noise in all apartments depends on your neighbors not on the construction. I have been lucky to have good neighbors, sometimes, I can hear my neighbors playing music when it is silent in my apartment, but in apartments, you have to flex a little on noise. So I don?t know if it is only good neighbors or good construction but I have had a lot less problems with noise.
In response to some of the other reviews, having your bedroom next to a dining room is not bad ? it could be worse. I have lived in apartments where my neighbors' master bedroom shared a wall with my living room. I could never watch TV without the neighbor being disturbed and calling the police. That was a badly arranged floor plan. What noise comes from your neighbor?s dining room'
Before this apartment I lived in Andover Park (2 bedroom with loft), which drained my finances during the winter - $300 a month to heat the place. I only spent about $85 a month this last winter living here and I have a 2 bedroom so the insulation is much better.
Parking here is the best I have seen. I have a very large, powered/lighted garage with a driveway, which came with the apartment. Other places I have lived at have rules against working on your car. I have been able to work on my car in the privacy of my own garage with two fluorescent lights and two outlets. I have never needed to park far away from my place or park in someone else?s spot to unload groceries. Overall I give this place two thumbs up.

I agree that a lot of it has to do with who your neighbors are, BUT it's also construction and it's also management's failure to deal with obnoxious neighbors. I think that most of us pretty much just put up with it and don't complain to anyone so it's partly our own fault. I live in a one bedroom downstairs and the toilet in the unit above flushes down through my living room wall. The washer and bathtub also follow this same route. I can't begin to describe how loud these events are. If I'm watching TV, I can no longer hear it while the waters drains. It's really really off putting to know that that is toilet water you hear directly behind your back. And yes, I can hear you peeing up there. Double Yuk! If I have company everyone stops talking whenever one of these water events takes place and looks around to see what's happening. I've pretty much stopped having company.
