Moving from out of state,I had never physically seen the property prior to our move-in. I have to admit, the office staff was very helpful and informative. However, I would recommend that if you have the ability to upgrade your living arrangements within 6 months of arriving to Cherry Ridge, you probably should consider it. In my case, I had recently graduated college and was awaiting a job offer in the Portland area. So, without accurately knowing what my income or job would actually be, I needed an inexpensive place to live until I got a better grasp on my situation. However, keep in mind, most of the residents participate in some sort of state assistance or aid program. Subsequently, you'll end up sharing the property with lower income individuals who live "hand to mouth" on Uncle Sam's dime. Moreover, most of my neighbors had no idea what getting up at 5:00 am for work felt like as they partied all night. Oh yeah, one more highlight, my unit faced the parking lot (as do most of them). So forget keeping your window open in the summerfor some reason, there seems to be steady flow of obnoxious traffic at all hours of the night. Bottom linegood place to organize your thoughts and direction before moving onbad place to call home for any extensive length of time. Horrible place for sincerely hard working and devoted families who actually want to "rest" when they get home.
