Huge car break ins problem. Police said "it happens a lot here".

Management is nice, apartments are decent size and clean. Unfortunately, there is a HUGE car theft/break in issue. My car was broken in to 2x, my husbands once. In addition to spakers, radio, amp and cds stolen, an attempt was made to steal husbands car, which left the car dead, and in need $2000 in repairs. Police said "it happens a lot here".
Went to office to inform them and as last time when my car was broken into. They let us know there were "a few other break-ins this weekend" and that it "happens all the time." Their attitude was very cavalier, and again stated they have absolutely no plans to get security, or take some measures. They know there are break ins and vandalism, yet refuse to get at least a gate. We're SOL, and so will you if you move in here. Maintenance does not know what they're doing. Dog poo abounds.
If you don't have a car, Troutdale Terrace may be ok, I guess.

There are car break ins all over the place just because it happens more at this apartment place is to bad doesn't mean management should have to provide security for the residents or gates, like that will keep out the criminals if they want to in they will find a way, duh!. No place is safe even in a nice neighborhood. My parents car has been broken into many times in there drive way and they live in a house that is worth over 400,000. People are bad every where maybe you should get mad at the people that are doing the crime rather then management. As for the dog poop, hello! yell at the owners of the dogs to pick up after the animal. People need to take responsibility for their pets, but it seems as pets owners are to lazy to to pick up their dog. Good luck in finding a perfect place to live because you wont find it.
