We have seen the negative comments that are posted and initially chalked it up to the fact that some people just don't want to be happy. That was our mistake and we will not discount such passionate pleas to beware again. We considered because some people were name calling, that this somehow discounted the validity of their complaints. We were absolutely wrong about that too. We have witnessed first hand examples of most of the negative comments about the degradation of the grounds to the attitudes of the staff. The new management has repeatedly disregarded calls about garbage in the landscaping with only a curt word saying they'll look into it. We have submitted written notice of problems in the unit and safety issues around the grounds. They have sent return letters that clearly demonstrated they could not or would not read what was initially stated. We have filled out repair tickets which they closed out on the same day without even coming out to inspect the problem. The closed ticket stated they already fixed the problem before we complained. Then a week later an office staff member stated that if we weren t happy with that, we'd have to fill out another ticket. Talk about an exercise in futility! Oh brother! We have experienced first hand the noise and security problems with the mall next door and we have seen people casing the apartments over the three foot fence. There were so many problems with the way they have handled us I can t even list them in this forum. In the end, they have double charged us for damage we did not cause and they have overstated. Watch out! The extra fees and deposits you pay at the front end will not be counted in the end when you leave so you essentially will have paid twice for those charges. They profess that they are making the property the most upscale in the area and that sounds good, however, what that is translated to is not realized in customer care or service, it means they will be charging the most. They have even tried to justify a rent increase of 20% with a 1 year lease or 32% increase to go month to month by saying the prior owners didn t charge enough. We have heard the rumors too that staff members were writing the positive comments as though they were not apart of the staff. We re beginning to wonder if there isn t some weight to that. We just discovered they are not members of the BBB and they don't exactly have a good record with the association. Wish I had looked at that before moving in!

As the Director Of Property Management I must say the comments made above are inaccurate. I visit this property every two weeks and have been in the office and talked with residents who have had issues. All issues are taken care of and staff follows up to ensure the resident is satisfied. I know, because I review the call logs and call and talk with our residents. Our staff is diligent about returning calls and dealing with resident issues. No property is perfect, but I can say we work hard to ensure if an issue comes up it is addressed immediately and correctly the first time. Why? Because we want to keep you as a resident - yes including you. If you have issues we will address them. And you are right - we increased your rent - why - because we have completely rehabbed the entire property - interior and exterior - Our residents and prospects know we pay attention to detail and the quality is there. There is value in what we have completed on the property, and our residents and prospective residents see that. It is unfortunate that you can't see that - but look elsewhere because you will not find a better staff or property, except Cortland Village - because we manage that as well - good luck in your search.
