I have lived in apartments before, so I know it can be much worse, but there are problems here. Long story made short: Archstone must have a policy of hiring the lazy or the mentally disabled for their property maintenance crew. Check out everything thoroughly in your new unit before you say "yes." Get renter's insurance!!! Noise' Rent an apartment on the third floor or you're going to suffer,especially if you like to relax, you enjoy peaceful living, or sleeping in. DO NOT rent an apartment with children or noisy idiots living above you. Ask before you sign the lease! Do not rent here if children get on your nerves. The majority of the front office staff is great, however, and the pool is nice in summer if you don't mind... well, let's leave it at that. This was a mistake.
