Overall, the place is priced well for its location, facilities and amenities. It calls itself a luxury apartment; this is stretching things. It is a very decent place, but the design is not modern enough for me to consider it luxury living.
Positives:
Great Location: Walking distance to Kinkos, Starbucks, Grocery, decent park, and discount retail. Restaurants, Post office ,and Library are further away, but also walkable. Near enough to highway access. The city police hq is a city block away.
Parking: Plenty of parking; however, our unit was positioned near the front of the complex. It may be different in other locations.
Facilities: Gym on location that is seldom very busy. Pool and playground.
Neighbors: Friendly for the most part. Kids are around, but never heard much noise.
Staff: One clueless person, but for the most part, very responsive.
Negatives:
Safety: This apartment complex has plenty of driveway, yet there are no speed bumps. Most people drive at a reasonable speed, but it only takes one idiot to cause an accident and a small percentage of drivers think this is the Indy500. I have been in one near miss due to a speeder. This takes away from a community that supposed to be very walkable. For people with children, this is especially a concern if you let them out to play.
Also, some of the lights near our parking spot are not very bright at night. Not so much a concern, because this is a generally safe area.
Trash bins: There are several large recycle bins around the community, but don't mistake these for garbage bins. There are only two garbage bins in this large community, so taking out the trash may be a hike depending on your location.
Vagrants: There is a trail that runs next to the apartment, so you occasionally get a variety of characters stumbling through the complex. They seem harmless enough, though.
