I lived in these apartments back when I was 3, (and it was maricopa hills) and they were almost brand new, I don't remember much of them from back then.
I now live in the complex again, as Park Hill.
We live in the first area Park Hill 1.
It is VERY quiet, not a ton of kids running around, no loud cars, no screaming tenants! That is the biggest plus. (When we first moved in, the upstairs neighbor would have the TV on loud, but that has since stopped.) The kitchen in our one bedroom is small for my taste, but average size for most apartments.
There is a problem with the units being overly humid, due to poor construction back in 1970 something. (this is why I give the #5 construction a low rating) You are required to sign a notice that you understand that mold is an issue in the area and you agree not to make complaints or request assistance with the removal of mold. I thought that was wierd, but we have not had any mold issues.
They allow 2 pets, and the deposit is $300 PER PET which is pretty high. They have no weight restricions on dogs, but there are breed restricions.
The grounds are pretty well kept, with landscaping once every couple of days.
The pool is okay, but a bit run down.
It was cloudy and had a bit too many leaves in it for my comfort.
The manager is nice, but seems a bit over the top in strictness, as if all the renters are out to pull something, but he is not rude in the least, I have not had any problems with him.
I don't know if it is a habit for property management to rotate the office assistant/rental agent (the one who does the tours and goes through the paperwork with you etc) or what, but there have been about 7 or 8 different ones since we have been here, which I find odd......
Anyways, the only big complaint is the freeway noise, we can't sit on our back porch because it is not relaxing. The 1-5 to I-205 interchange is RIGHT behind us, and it is noisy despite the blackberry bushes and trees. We never hear it in the apartment unless the back door or window is open.
I was actualy surprised about the quality of living here, because on first sight I was afraid they would be the typical over crowded with kids, drug dealer, cops here every night, noisy cars type of apartments, but they are not like that in the least.
Plus, only 470 for an apartment is a great deal. (even if it is just barely under 600 sq ft)

This was my review, and I'd like to tell you why we moved.
Mold. It grew everywhere! And this was not due to a lack of cleanliness on our part. I had to clean a 3 ft long by 8 inch high rectangle of mold off of the wall behind my dresser (and it was the recomended 1" away from the wall)and the window sills are constantly full of mildew and slime mold. Plus, the apartment was TINY. I hated how small it was.
